It all started on Friday night with a reading of the very popular Clement C. Moore poem, “Twas The Night Before Christmas”. A special guest and early appearance of Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with a few elves from the North Pole made for a memorable evening. Mulled cider and cocoa was served as residents sat before the fireplace listening to this enchanting tale. Santa was so full of cheer that several ladies were delighted to sit on his lap and share wishes for the new year. Even though some of the residents expressed having been “Naughty”, Mrs. Claus found them all on the “Nice” list.

It was wonderful to hear of various Christmas and holiday family or personal traditions that several residents spoke of from their childhood and later years. Many commented on enjoying such a fun night and having the occasion to get to know each other ever more.
