Jean Kundert has worked at Summerhill for over 12 years wearing many hats. More recently she has taken on the role of our Community Relations Coordinator which involves working with our Marketing Assistant and our Activities staff. Another important hat, is arranging for residents to be accompanied and transported to medical appointments when family can’t drive.
She is responsible for the many remarkable and personal photos of our residents. Jean captures memorable moments of them participating in the incredible and varied activities; be it in-house or on far away excursions and of course times with family and friends. Jean also shares treasured photos with those not geographically close to residents, via their personalize annual Holiday Calendar.
Jean oversees special events that include our resident baking team that make delicious pies and other tasty treats to support the Alzheimer’s Association. She creatively fills the many “wish lists” of our residents. Jean and Alymer, our Executive Chef spend many hours dreaming up different dining experiences and fun events. Creating moments of joy for them is what our work day is all about!
It means a great deal to be a member of the “Summerhill” team that enhances the lives of our residents. When not working, Jean and her husband Mike spend as much time possible with their 4 adult children and 5 grandkids.
