When my mother went to Summerhill, they promised We'll keep her safe and she will be loved. Three years later, we remain impressed by the strong teamwork and sense of family the staff consistently embodies. From the concierge to the aides and nursing staff, we are assured that this promise is kept. We are incredibly grateful and couldn't do without this care.
Two dear friends at Summerhill told me they loved it here! We were certain of our decision after meeting Mary Pat, the Executor Director. It was a great comfort in how she guided me through the process of such a move. Knowing Aylmer Given, Director of Culinary Services was indeed an added bonus. I'm impressed with how much he contributes to each resident's dietary and social needs in and out of the kitchen. My sister and I immediately felt very comfortable with the staff. They are so, patient in providing personalized and professional care to each resident.
I moved to Summerhill to be near my daughter. I love the comfortable, friendly atmosphere and the wonderful staff, who are so helpful and caring! I have made many new friends and enjoy the wide variety of activities that are offered. Bridge, bingo, musical performances, yoga, sing-a-longs, book groups are favored pastimes.
The staff at Summerhill are so friendly and helped me adjust to living with others. I truly care about them and the other residents. There are so many activities that we enjoy doing together. My Grandmother and Mother taught me the pleasure of baking. Now it's fun to share family traditions and recipes with others. This brings back wonderful memories for all of us.
Upon visiting Summerhill, I decided it was the place I wanted to be. The staff are so welcoming and genuinely thoughtful of all my needs. My children are equally pleased in seeing the quality of care and how much I trust and like the staff. I love the food. I love my bright, sunny and comfortable room. I love that there are so many fun and varied activities to do. I love that we can sing, exercise and share time with the Meadows residents.
I was attracted by the pleasant facilities at Summerhill, the dedicated staff, and it’s comfortable family atmosphere. It means a great deal that my wife is safe and cheerful, surrounded by caring staff and happy residents.
I brought myself to Summerhill after being a volunteer at several local Assisted Living Facilities. It was the fun and caring atmosphere that drew me to make a move. I introduced my daughter to Summerhill, not the other way around! I like all the different things you can do at and outside of Summerhill. The driving staff are interesting people who've taught me (even as a local) about the area. We go off exploring to many unusual and fun wonderful places. These adventures keep me young! My day is full, interesting and socially enriched because of being at Summerhill!
I have lived across the street from Summerhill for 26 years and watched it grow and develop. When an extended illness left me needing more care, I knew just where to go. Living at Summerhill has far surpassed my expectations. We're a loving family who care for one another.
The staff is very considerate and I feel loved and well looked after. When the staff discovered my love of gardening, they let me care for some of the flower beds and even our raised bed veggie gardens. On a recent excursion to a butterfly farm, we were allowed a closer look at a Bearded Dragon that lived there.
The staff make Summerhill special! They are so caring and overall very attentive to your needs as a resident. Going well beyond just taking care of one's daily needs. The staff do a great job making the day more interesting and fun. I really like the social atmosphere, eating outside, going out and about to Kimball's, scenic rides or to musical events in the pub. The facility is comfortable and an immaculate facility.
I walked into Summerhill and right away it felt like home. The staff is very welcoming and continue to make me feel loved and well cared for throughout the day. Being part of the Summerhill family is one of the best decisions I've made. At this stage of my life, I can't imagine being anywhere else.
Summerhill is home to me!
