Hawaiian Luau at Summerhill Assisted Living in Peterborough NHSummerhill was transformed on July 16th . We became an Hawaiian island in costume and with a delicious feast that only Aylmer and Jean could pull off. Assisted Living residents and their families dined on sweet and sour pork, shrimp fried rice, a variety of vegetables, ambrosia, native fruits and the absolute favorite – vanilla ice cream with fried pineapple and fresh caramel sauce. Yum!!!!!

We were entertained with native music as well as folk with Jarvis Adams, a resident favorite. The weather was steamy hot but thankfully there was a cool breeze under our festive summer tent. Thank you as always to Mike and Andrew for the assembly of the tent and all the work setting up (and taking down.) We even had a fire pit for the kids to roast marsh mellows, which they did although no adults felt inclined to mosey over.

All in all the response was very positive and as you see from our photos enjoyed by all.

Next week we do it all again for our wonderful Meadows residents and their families. Can't wait!!!!
